I also recommend using FlareSolverr to prevent your favorite sub site from thinking you're a bot while Bazarr pings it for every movie in your collection. You can set it up to look for other languages too. Right now I'm struggling with getting the top subtitle option in the Plex subtitle search function (as well as getting Plex pass required Cinema trailers to play, which I subscribe to) but found that Bazarr usually grabs 90% of the subtitles I want, and 85% are correct and timed perfectly. Plex's built-in subtitle search engine is amazing in theory, but it's just too unreliable when it comes to actually applying a subtitle you want, and I don't think it currently supports downloading the sub so you don't have to search for it again - could be wrong on this, maybe I just never got it to work properly.) I highly recommend installing Python onto your system and checking out Bazarr. Had the same issue as you, and the same workarounds as u/toorudez and u/SanFranSicko23. Subtitle search results currently use as the source. This does require that the player app support the ability to do so. Please go to the relevant subreddits and support forums, for example: Plex supports the ability to search for (and use) subtitles from either the pre-play screen or during playback, for items in movie and TV libraries.
